So my 1990 Legacy has its guts ALL OVER THA FLO' still. Missing bits...urgh. Expensive repairs are expensive.

Down to one car...good freakin fun...

...and that one car has now decided that it'd be fun to get gearbox issues. I have a $4500 800hp-proof gearbox waiting for it, but IT DOESN'T FIT YET because it needs other (expensive) parts.

URGH URGH URGH URGH URGH.

Title: A Moment In Time, Chapter
Characters: Jon Osterman, Kazuya Mishima, USS Legacy crew
Warnings: Obvious spoilers for just about everything. Also, it's a multi-crossover. WTF! This is basically a sideline of a story I'm writing...which is the story of the USS Legacy, and her crew - captained by a resurrected Kazuya Mishima (shoosh). Most of the beginning of this story is explanation of what/how/why, so if you've never read anything else of mine...bear with me.
Disclaimer: Everything except the OC crew of the USS Legacy belongs to someone else.
Rating: M (mature) at the moment - you never know when language or nautiness will happen.
Summary: The Presence makes itself known. A quickie, potential goodie...

Title: A Moment In Time, Chapter 2

Righty. Here's a little more of my usual randomness for everyone. Welcome to a new fandom addiction of mine.

Title: A Moment In Time
Characters:
Jon Osterman, Kazuya Mishima, USS Legacy crew (part one)
Jon Osterman, most of the surviving Watchmen cast (part two)
Warnings: Obvious spoilers for just about everything.
Notes: There are literally four stories that happen before this one, and all are works in progress. This is set post-Nemesis (if you're not into Star Trek in even a little way, this may not be the fic for you), and along the COMIC ending for Watchmen, NOT THE MOVIE. Thanks. :3

Edit: Less rambling, more coherent...

Wow, long time no see.

To say the very least, I've been...erm...busy. Haven't had a moment's peace.

I'll be back with updates at some stage...perhaps even some fanfiction...

For now, here's some rather melancholy thoughts for anyone that thought life was going to spare them the whining for a moment.

Yeah, don't you just love it when other people screw your shit up?

My room is currently under complete rearrangement and thus is a biohazard. My laptop, my ONLY computer, is usually in there. Under the bed in a NO TOUCHIE manner. There is also a house rule - don't, for FUCK's SAKE, turn off Amy's computer. HIBERNATE IT. Also another house rule - do not under ANY circumstances restart Amy's computer if you get an alert 'someone else is using this computer, restarting will cause them to lose any unsaved data'...obvious one but one I have to remind them of twice a day.

The one day I don't, and the one day I forget to save my work because I have to dash off and do stuff...one of my idiot sisters turns the computer off. After going into my disaster zone of a room, hacking around under my bed and digging it up.

Now normally that's no biggie.

But here's the reason I'm even POSTING this...

I had only JUST introduced fricken' Jones to my story...I'd written thousands of words over a few days...and it'd been sitting there waiting to be worked on for HOW LONG...three days the machine went without having to be destroyed and as soon as I leave it in the hands of fire for a SECOND...things are fucked up.

AGAIN.

I swear. I am going to buy a cheap laptop off TradeMe, throw it at them and say DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE touch my computer AGAIN -___________________-;;

I don't know WHY I'm so generous and lenient with them - every single bit of damage on this machine, hardware and software related...is thanks to my damn sisters manhandling it and being generally disrespectful.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. I AM SO SICK OF THIS SHIT.

Fuck...when I FINALLY have the cash to move out...it will be a GOOD DAY.

I'm in a fricken' roll at the moment. LOL. More developments, and lots of silliness from our friend here.

There are chapters coming through thick and fast at the moment...but I really must clean all the crap out of my room so I can make way for a new desk and an easel...kinda hard to paint pirates when there's no effing room in the place! T_______T

Here's chapter 4...there'll be another chapter before a good ol' flashback methinks.

Title: Submerged
Author: ShaleSubaru / Shale
Rating: PG-R ...once again, pirates are not polite people. Oh...the extra R is for a bit of mild nudity ;)
Pairing: None so far. *whistles innocently*
Disclaimer: I don't own PotC or any characters within. Disney does. I don't own any Tekken characters either, Namco does. Oh yeah. Broke as a joke and earn NOTHING from this folly!
Warnings: Some AWE spoilers, as it is WAY post-AWE. Might want to hold off reading til' you've watched. Also, this is a crossover...modern-day for the most part...you have been warned.
Summary: Another drabbler really...but you just KNOW that good stuff is going to happen now! Jack takes a bath, cooks a meal, and goes job-hunting...one would almost think he's been brainwashed into becoming yet another one of us. But you know Jack...and you know that's just not the case ;)

Hmm. I'll leave you all thinking what you wish about that one ;)

Well now. This chapter, I must admit, is one of those annoying space-filling drones. Poor Jack's basically just being shoved from one end of his tether to the other, but things are CERTAINLY going to step up after this one. This is...merely travel. Lol. Good bit of mental imagery in amongst the rather mundane feeling our hero casts over all this.

Enjoy.

Title: Submerged
Author: ShaleSubaru / Shale
Rating: PG ...few words some might deem a bit ripe. Thanks Jack.

Summary: One of those boring chapters in a story where it simply passes time...a few little surprises, and kind of an important one, but yeah. Jack gets shunted from one end of the world to the other, taking with him some valuable information...

Mmm, Emo Jackie.

Oh well. Nothing if not an opportunist...you just KNOW that given time he'll be the master of his environment as always...though perhaps not to the same extent as a certain someone else waiting in the wings ;D

Mmm, moar fiction.

Thicker plot now. For once, I've actually got a proper PLAN as to bad guys in this fic, so hopefully it'll be a touch more captivating than my usual guff.

Title: Submerged
Author: ShaleSubaru / Shale
Rating: PG ...just Jack being a tad crude as usual.
Pairing: Right now...God knows...you guess ;D

Here's some PotC goodness for y'all. First fic in the fandom, but make no mistake, it's not the first fic ever ;)

There might be some smut later on, who knows. There WILL be plenty of cussing. There will be more than enough Jack, and plenty of Davy later too.

Note...it's also a crossover. So you'll see a few randoms here and there. And no - it's not the typical fangirly kind of crossover, it will be mostly serious ;)

SO...

Read on if you wish :)

Title: Submerged (may change)
Author: ShaleSubaru / Shale
Rating: PG for now, Jack being Jack. May change later
Pairing: Right now...God knows...you guess ;D

Warnings: Some AWE spoilers, as it is WAY post-AWE. Might want to hold off reading til' you've watched. Also, this is a crossover...modern-day for the most part...you have been warned. Also - any apparent racism is purely from the point of view of the characters, for added realism...so chill, I'm half Asian :3
Summary: Once again, G-Corporation - a biotech company specialising in genetic research - is doing what it does best and playing God with people who have fallen from grace in some way or another. In an attempt to showcase their prowess in reconstructing, resurrecting and creating bodies, they have taken recent samples of human remains dredged up in recent ocean explorations. However, it appears they are too good, and once again their subjects rebel...

Right. Short, potentially somewhat out of character, but I'm just getting a feel for it. Lol. Still in my creative buzz, so...erm...more shortly I hope.

Moar Davy goodness today. Painting is starting to look good. My boyfriend came over a few days ago and had a look at it; he was slightly taken aback by it, but grinned and proudly proclaimed 'You are an impressionist artist!'. Apparently...I have a style. Lol. Up close it looks like rat shit, it really does. It's all blotchy clods of paint left right and centre, an epic mass of colour. From a distance, suddenly it's a highly-detailed squid-like visage with rather realistic eyes, staring out at the viewer. It looks darn nice by my standards. Yep...apparently that would make me a modern, realistic impressionist in Cam's eyes. Hurr...

Feeling the writing itch, so I might just start writing a few story ideas I had for PotC. I'm currently also working on an Initial D fanfic as well as my own original fic, 'Wilderness'. That one is definitely for the car buffs, but few others...I should probably clean it up and start posting it here, as this seems to be a great spot to post fanfiction. I used to be pretty freakin prolific with the art stuff, writing included...so it would be nice to revisit it all. Though I don't know where one finds the time...there's boyfriends to bonk, cars to race, work to be done and a million freakin car people to fight off with a pitchfork. Buh...never enough hours in the day.

I seriously can't wait until a few paycheck's time. It's time to do my cambelt, which means it's time to do the pumps, which means the WRX waterpump goes in, making way for Legacy RS headers on the NA Impreza...which is going to mean some seriously aggressive, guttoral, primeval howls are going to start coming out of that little grey beast. He currently sounds like an epically massive Honda engine gettin' its husky on (that is, nothing like a Subaru)...it's about time he had the burble.

From there it's definitely time for new tyres. Omfg, the current ones are garbage...and have no tread left.

Oh yes, then it's new driveshafts (propshaft, and the halfshafts...all four of them) to go with the new Brembo brakes, new brake rotors, new rear diff, new clutch, flywheel and cover...aaaaaaaaargh. The beginnings of one HELL of a monster conversion. So many ask why...the answer is, considering my project will leave nothing stock other than the GC8 shell, why buy a more expensive car to start with? And why be boring and follow everyone else's lead? Lol. Nothing like being different.

Right. Writing bug is gnawing a hole in my face. New journal entry shortly...FICTION TIIIIME :D

It doesn't come off the table. It doesn't come off my skin. It certainly doesn't come off my clothes, and it's on the palette(s) to stay :/

At least you can peel acrylics!

Well...gotta make a first entry, eh?

I've been here on LJ on and off for nearly seven years now, but it's time for a new journal and a new name to mark the change of interests, life, everything...

For anyone curious, I'm first and foremost a car nut. I own a GC8 Impreza (for those that have no clue, an old school Impreza similar to a WRX...'classic' for those in the states). His name is Shale - yes, he has a gender...for anyone that has driven a car hard, they will know that a car has a personality. Shale's is male...without a doubt. As for the name - the car has been resprayed Blue Steel, which is a slightly lighter variant of gunmetal with a blue hue to it. Understated yet stunning.

Just recently however, I have become a PotC nut. As with all past interests I'm drawn to the 'bad guy' that seems to have a whole lot more story to him than even the good guys. Davy Jones has to be one of the best-written, most thorough characters I've seen in years. Definitely an instant favourite of mine, sitting alongside Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series.

As a graphic designer (of three years...yeah an old bastard here. Lol. 21, ya whipper-snappers), I have a knack for anything computer-graphic-related (mmmm photochopping) and also specialise in art...painting, drawing, etc.

Unfortunately the car addiction...and expensive mods, both in time and monetarily...have stolen precious practise time from my painting/drawing/etc development and I am RUSTY AS. Oh well. There's a large canvas with Davy Jones smattered across it in my dining room...hope it doesn't turn out like arse.

If I'm not wasting time modding the car (have a VERY expensive 6MT gearbox to go in shortly...short shifter, DCCD, good for 800hp...you get the picture. Along with that is Brembo brakes...bigger than your head!), wasting time wasting tyres and petrol, or attempting to paint/design something...I'm writing fanfiction. Expect some Davy Jones goodness once I'm done writing my arse off for Initial D...

Anyway...nothing wrong with having another rant-spot. For anyone watching me from a PotC community, I apologise, as most of what I write is about cars, about car fandoms, about Subarus, and again...about cars. Mmmmmm, Subie burble.

*cough*

Right, comp battery low so mad Kiwi signing out. Kia Ora from New Zealand everyone :)
